Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, stoves, ovens, and food processors Follow food safety protocols and handle food properly to prevent contamination Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing Assist with meal preparation for various service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients in advance and managing inventory levels Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operation during busy periods Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food service environments Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Skilled in knife techniques, slicing methods, and recipe adherence to ensure consistent quality Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Experience with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork in fast-paced settings Knowledge of catering processes and meal planning enhances versatility in the role Embark on a culinary journey with us where your skills make a difference!
