Job Description

The Farmstand Café is looking for a Breakfast & Lunch Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We're a busy farm-to-table café connected to our working farm, serving breakfast and lunch with a focus on fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and house-made food . We're looking for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in their work, and can keep up in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining quality and organization. What You'll Do Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items to order Work efficiently on the hot line during busy service Execute recipes and plating consistently Complete daily prep and maintain appropriate pars Handle eggs, meats, vegetables, sauces, sandwiches, salads, and other café menu items Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties Communicate clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams Help with catering, grab-and-go, and special event production as needed Work with seasonal produce from our farm and other local farms and suppliers What We're Looking For Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred Strong breakfast and lunch cooking skills Ability to work quickly and accurately during busy service Reliable, punctual, and dependable Able to follow recipes and production standards Good communication and teamwork skills Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs At least 1 weekend day required, preference given to those who can work both Saturday and Sunday. We are especially interested in someone who enjoys scratch cooking and working with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Schedule We are looking for full-time/part-time availability. Typical shifts include morning and daytime hours , with opportunities for additional hours during busy weekends, catering, and events. No late-night restaurant hours. Compensation $18-$22/hour, based on experience, plus tip share. Typical total earnings with tips are approximately $22-$28/hour , depending on sales, shifts worked, and tip distribution.
