Job Description
The Cork & Fork is looking for a reliable, fast-paced Line Cook to join our kitchen crew. In this role, you will play a key part in setting up the line, preparing high-quality dishes according to our recipes, and maintaining a clean, efficient station. Whether you are an experienced cook looking for a stable kitchen or a passionate line cook eager to sharpen your culinary skills, we want to hear from you!
Experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Short Order Cook preferred (willing to train the right candidate). Strong knife skills, a solid understanding of various cooking methods (grilling, frying, sautéing), and the ability to multitask preferable. Ability to stand for long periods, move quickly in a hot kitchen environment, and lift up to [40] lbs with a team-first mindset, punctuality, and a strong work ethic required.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and stock your assigned station with all necessary ingredients, sauces, and prep items before service. Cook and assemble menu items quickly and accurately, adhering strictly to our recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Follow all food health, sanitation, and safety regulations to ensure a clean work environment. Communicate effectively with the expo, front-of-house staff, and fellow cooks to keep ticket times low. Clean down your station at the end of the shift, label and store leftover ingredients safely, and prepare the line for the next shift.Experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Short Order Cook preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
