This is not a typical institutional kitchen—we operate an open, interactive kitchen where residents can see, smell, and engage in their dining experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating delicious home-style meals, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. If you take pride in preparing quality food, enjoy a team-oriented environment, and thrive in a setting where hospitality matters, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Do Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Follow planned menus while maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation. Adapt recipes to accommodate special dietary needs, including diabetic and low-sodium diets. Complete daily food safety, temperature, and equipment checks. Maintain proper food storage, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards. Monitor pantry inventory and communicate ordering needs. Bake specialty items such as cookies, cakes, pies, and other treats. Assist with holiday meals, celebrations, birthdays, and special events. Create a warm and welcoming dining experience through excellent customer service and resident interaction. Work independently while collaborating closely with leadership and care teams. What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year of professional cooking, food service, or kitchen experience. Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or restaurant environments preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong attendance, reliability, and professionalism. Genuine compassion and respect for seniors' quality of life. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Requirements Current food handler certification and any certifications required by Washington State law. Ability to pass a criminal background check, credential verification, and reference checks. Reliable transportation. Ability to stand for long periods, lift up-to 40 pounds, and work in a multi-interaction kitchen environment. Why Join Us?
