Job Description

Lead Line Cook - Kitchen Manager Training Track Triangle Tavern is hiring an experienced Lead Line Cook to join our kitchen team and develop toward a future Kitchen Manager role. This is a hands-on working-lead position for someone who is strong on the line, comfortable directing others, and interested in growing into kitchen management. You'll work directly with our Kitchen Operations Manager while helping lead service, prep, cleanliness, closing standards, and day-to-day shift accountability. Responsibilities Lead kitchen execution during assigned shifts Work grill, fryer, and other line stations alongside the team Keep service organized and moving during busy periods Assign daily prep and follow up on completion Redirect employees based on service, prep, cleaning, and restocking needs Keep the team productive during slower periods Verify stations are stocked and ready before peak service Maintain recipe, portion, presentation, and food-quality standards Enforce food safety, sanitation, handwashing, and glove requirements Verify cleaning and closing responsibilities are completed before the shift ends Complete and verify end-of-shift prep and operational handoffs Coach team members in the moment when standards are not being met Communicate shortages, equipment issues, incomplete work, and performance concerns to the Kitchen Operations Manager Help train and develop line cooks Develop into additional responsibilities including inventory, ordering, scheduling, and labor management What We're Looking For Strong restaurant line-cook experience required Previous lead cook, shift lead, sous chef, or kitchen-management experience preferred Able to stay organized and composed during busy service Strong sense of urgency and follow-through Clean, disciplined work habits Comfortable giving direction and holding coworkers accountable Reliable attendance and punctuality Able to coach employees professionally Comfortable taking ownership of prep, cleaning, closing, and shift completion Interested in developing into greater kitchen-management responsibility Availability Strong Thursday-Saturday dinner and closing availability is required. Additional availability across other days and dayparts is preferred. This is a working leadership position. The right candidate should be equally comfortable leading the shift, working a station, completing prep, and making sure the kitchen is left ready for the next team.
Pay:
$19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected Hours:
36-40 per week
Additional Compensation:
Eligible kitchen team members participate in a guaranteed tip pool funded at 3% of net sales, shared among eligible kitchen staff.
Sign-On Bonus:
$500 with eligibility and payout terms provided at hire. Triangle Tavern has been a Longview tradition since 1959. We're looking for someone who takes pride in good food, a clean and organized kitchen, developing a strong team, and taking ownership of the shift.

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
