Line Cook/Prep Cook Bruncheonette - 2.8 Spokane, WA Job Details Part-time $20 - $25 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Paid sick time Qualifications Recipe adherence Active listening Kitchen knives Attention to detail Organizational skills Food preparation Kitchen stations Full Job Description Bruncheonette is looking for a reliable, hard working, motivated and dedicated chef/cook (includes line, prep & cleaning duties) to join our team. Shifts are scheduled anytime between 6:30am to 3:30/4pm (Bruncheonette hours of operation: 7am to 2pm). Bruncheonette is a very fast paced restaurant with strong team mentality. The position requires the ability to multi-task in different back-of-house positions.
Responsibilities:
1. Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines. 2. Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner. 3. Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant. 4. Restocks all items as needed throughout shift. 5. Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills. 6. Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station. 7. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas. 8. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the management team at any time.
Requirements:
Availability to work weekends Previous experience in the food service industry as a chef/line cook Hands on experience with knife skills and basic baking skills Positive attitude Excellent presentation skills and attention to details Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to perform well in a fast paced environment Active listening and effective communication skills Ability to follow instructions and recipes Team Spirit Sense of Humor Egg cooking skills
Compensation:
Highly competitive pay (base wage plus profit share.
On average total:
$20-$25 per hour) Comp'd meals for every worked shift

$20.00 to $25.00 /hour (includes base wage plus profit share)
