Role SummaryThe Tasting Room Cook prepares all food for the DeLille Tasting Room in Woodinville. This includes the prep work needed to be ready for service and the final plating and execution of every order once it comes in. This role also supports Tasting Room events and other on property events as needed, and may be assigned additional prep duties based on business levels, with Tasting Room food as the main focus.
This Role Is Responsible for all food prep and execution for Tasting Room service, from opening prep through final plating A hands on kitchen role that calls for comfort adjusting to changing volume and last minute needs during a shift A collaborative partner to Tasting Room front of house leads and other Woodinville kitchen leads on feedback and execution Occasionally called on to support Tasting Room events and other on property events A role with real variety day to day, given the pace and the range of business the Tasting Room seesThis Role Is Not A role limited only to Tasting Room service. Prep duties may shift to support other areas based on business needs A role with a fixed weekday schedule. The Tasting Room operates seven days a week, and weekend and flexible scheduling is part of the job A role where recipes and specs are optional. Consistency matters as much here as anywhere else in the kitchen A role that sets the standard for the space. The Tasting Room Culinary Lead builds and maintains the daily cleaning checklists and prep lists. This role follows themFood Prep and Execution Complete all prep work needed to be ready for service, following recipes and daily prep lists Prepare and plate food to order during service, following DeLille recipes and presentation standards Follow the daily cleaning checklist and prep list maintained by the Tasting Room Culinary Lead Follow recipes and menu specs consistently Bring any questions about food, prep, or standards directly to the Tasting Room Culinary Lead or the Sous Chef Assist with running food into the Tasting Room as neededCollaboration and Feedback Work with Tasting Room front of house leads on feedback about food and adjust accordingly Work with other Woodinville kitchen leads on feedback about food and adjust accordingly Communicate proactively about anything affecting service, timing, or qualityEvents Support Assist as needed with preparing food for Tasting Room events and other on property events Take on additional prep duties as assigned based on business levels, with Tasting Room food remaining the main focusCleanliness and Compliance Complete daily cleaning duties Follow all health code requirements at all times Maintain a current Washington State Food Handler s PermitSchedule and Pace Work weekends and flex scheduling based on business needs, consistent with a Tasting Room that is open seven days a week Work comfortably in a fast paced environment and adjust as things change over the course of a shift Work as part of a team and pivot on short notice when the day calls for itPhysical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the full duration of a shift Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, reach, and work in tight kitchen spaces for extended periods Comfort working near open flame, hot surfaces, and sharp tools Comfort working in varying temperatures, including walk-in coolers and freezers Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks such as chopping, plating, and cleaningCompensation and Tips Pay is commensurate with previous cooking experience, with more experienced cooks starting toward the higher end of the range This role participates in tip pooling.
