Job Description
Assistant School Cook (part-time) - Cashton Middle/High School Cashton School District is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Assistant School Cook to join our food service team at Cashton Middle/High School. This position plays an important role in providing students with nutritious meals in a clean, welcoming, and efficient cafeteria environment. Primary Responsibilities Wash dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment. Prepare and maintain the daily salad bar, ensuring food is fresh, attractive, and properly stocked. Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, equipment, serving areas, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards. Assist with serving breakfast and lunch to students and staff while providing friendly customer service. Help with food preparation and other kitchen duties as assigned. Follow all district, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines. Work cooperatively with the food service team to ensure efficient daily operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Food service experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
