Maintenance Assistant Location
  • Onsite This is an onsite role that works at the Cashton Office Building in Cashton, WI. The shift/hours are 7:00 a.m.

Summary of Role The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing general maintenance repairs, inspection, landscape, snow removal, and up-keep work for Organic Valley locations as assigned. This is a safety sensitive role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities oInspect, troubleshoot, and repair areas as assigned by supervisor oLandscape management, including weeding, mowing, and maintenance projects oWater trees and landscape/garden areas oEvaluate maintenance, servicing and repair needs, and establish repair priorities oPerform routine maintenance checks as scheduled oDetermine necessary parts needed to complete repairs oResearch equipment parts and materials to secure best source, price and quality oInterior painting, as needed oOrder parts approved by facilities leadership oRemove snow and ice using shovel or machinery oKeep track of parts, tools and equipment inventory oPerform staff moves oAssist with cubicle change outs and renovations oAssist with room setups Additional Duties and Responsibilities oSecure quotes and bids as needed oOther duties as assigned by supervisor Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities oTwo years of commercial maintenance experience preferred oBasic record-keeping and shop math skills oBasic understanding of good manufacturing practices preferred oThe ability to establish work priorities and develop work schedules oThe ability to frequently pull, push, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance oThe ability to bend at the waist, kneel, reach overhead and above the shoulders in order to perform repairs oThe ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends for snow removal oThe ability to operate a skid steer is preferred oMust obtain and maintain forklift operator certificate oMust possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles oMust be familiar with common safety procedures oBasic computer skills a must Base hourly wage range: $21.37
  • $25.
91/hour The typical hourly wage for a new hire with little or no experience is $21.37. This hourly wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base hourly wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the hourly wage range and hiring at the maximum of the hourly wage range is not typical.
