Prep Cook / Line Cook (Experienced) -

Competitive hourly wage based on experience Join Our Kitchen Team at Renard's Renard's is looking for an experienced, dependable Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. We are seeking someone who takes pride in food quality, works well under pressure, and understands the importance of cleanliness, consistency, and teamwork in a professional kitchen environment. If you have previous kitchen prep or line experience and enjoy working with a team that values quality and reliability, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to company recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines Assist with salads, sandwiches, appetizers, baked goods, trays, catered items, and daily specials Coordinate and expedite food production by organizing orders, communicating with kitchen and service staff, and supporting smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods Follow daily prep lists to prioritize tasks and maintain efficient kitchen workflow in a fast-paced environment Measure ingredients accurately and maintain portion control to ensure consistency and minimize food waste Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and safety standards are met Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage practices in compliance with state and federal regulations Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each shift, including dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, trash removal, mopping floors, and cleaning equipment Support kitchen setup, closing duties, and additional cleaning responsibilities as needed
What We're Looking For Required:
Previous prep cook, line cook, catering, or commercial kitchen experience Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation and presentation Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
Preferred:
Serve Safe Certification Experience with catering preparation, portion control, and kitchen sanitation standards Experience coordinating food production and maintaining workflow efficiency during events or peak service periods Top of Form Bottom of Form Why Join Renard's?
