School Year Cook Winneconne High School Winneconne Community School District Are you looking for a rewarding position that perfectly matches the school schedule? Do you love working in a team environment and feeding hungry minds? Winneconne High School is seeking a dependable, positive School Year Cook to join our food service family!
Position Overview Hours:
20 hours per week
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Term:
School Year Only (Enjoy your evenings, weekends, holidays, and summers off!)
Location:
Winneconne High School Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, cooking, and portioning of daily school lunches following standard recipes and safety guidelines. Set up serving lines and serve meals to high school students and staff with a friendly, welcoming attitude. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen workspace, including washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, and proper food storage. Collaborate effectively with the food service team to ensure lunch periods run smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications Experience:
Some previous cooking experience is required (experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or catering setting is a plus, but all solid cooking backgrounds will be considered). Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients accurately, and adhere to food safety/sanitation standards. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 30-40 lbs occasionally. Must pass a standard school district background check and physical.
