Job Summary As a Wheel Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and running our wheels — large unwinders — on our substrate converting lines. This role requires loading and threading rolls of substrate, setting proper tension and alignment, and running the equipment safely and efficiently to keep production moving. You will monitor multiple pieces of equipment at once, troubleshoot basic operational issues, and follow standardized work to consistently produce a quality product.
Key Responsibilities Wheel Set-Up & Operation:
Safely and efficiently set up, load, and thread rolls of substrate onto our wheels (large unwinders) on the converting line, setting proper tension and alignment for optimal running conditions.
Pre-Operational Checks:
Perform necessary pre-operation activities on multiple pieces of equipment to ensure proper startup and running condition before production begins.
Multi-Machine Monitoring:
Ability to multi-task and operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-speed environment.
Material Transport:
Safely operate powered industrial trucks, including standard forklifts, clamp trucks, and box clamps, to transport rolls of material onto machines and throughout the facility.
ERP System Use:
Understand and operate necessary Global Shop ERP functions to track and record material usage and production data.
Safety & Standardized Work:
Adhere strictly to all company health and safety guidelines. Follow standardized work to execute tasks correctly and consistently.
Housekeeping:
Complete daily housekeeping and sanitation tasks as defined by standard work, maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
Continuous Improvement:
Actively identify continuous improvement opportunities and collaborate with team members at all levels of the business.

Team Coordinator Role Requirements Age:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Experience:
Prefer 1+ years of experience or knowledge of production procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Equipment:
Comfortable operating material handling lift equipment (forklift, clamp, box clamp).
Systems & ERP:
Basic computer aptitude; ability to learn and operate Global Shop ERP functions.
Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, customer orders, and memos. Above-average analytical skills and detail-oriented.
Work Style:
Able to work independently and as part of a team; reliable, motivated, and open-minded toward continuous improvement.
Physical:
Capable of standing for long periods, executing repetitive motions, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
