Position Overview RYU Sushi & Teppanyaki is looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our restaurant team. The Dishwasher plays an important role in keeping our kitchen running efficiently by ensuring that dishes, utensils, cookware, kitchen equipment, and work areas remain clean and ready for service. Restaurant experience is helpful but is not required . We are willing to consider dependable applicants who are motivated, willing to learn, and able to work as part of a team. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and properly. Maintain proper dishwasher temperatures and chemical levels as required. Keep the dishwashing station, sinks, floors, and surrounding areas clean and organized. Return clean dishes, cookware, and utensils to their proper locations. Assist with trash removal and general kitchen cleaning. Assist with restocking and basic kitchen duties as needed. Help maintain a clean and sanitary restaurant environment. Support cooks, sushi chefs, teppanyaki chefs, and other kitchen staff during busy service periods. Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures. Qualifications Previous dishwashing, restaurant, or kitchen experience is preferred but not required . Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Able to stand for extended periods. Able to lift and carry normal restaurant supplies, dishes, cookware, and trash. Willing to assist other members of the kitchen team when needed. Must be available for a flexible restaurant schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Restaurant experience, reliability, availability, and related kitchen experience will be considered when determining compensation.
