We make food from scratch at our South Indian Restaurant. We would love to get folks who are meticulous, clean and can learn fast. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently to support daily kitchen operations Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients under supervision Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with sanitation standards Support food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly to facilitate smooth service flow Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely following proper ergonomic techniques Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and food prep tools with care and adherence to safety protocols Skills Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety management practices Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with banquet or catering settings is a plus Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of sanitation standards and hygiene protocols Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items regularly Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks when needed Ability to operate kitchen equipment responsibly while following health and safety standards Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment Prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation roles is advantageous This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary support skills while ensuring our kitchen remains safe, clean, and efficient.
