Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation tasks. Your dedication will help ensure that our guests receive high-quality meals served in a timely manner. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following strict food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items to support the culinary team. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste in accordance with sanitation standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, ovens, mixers, and other small appliances. Handle food products with care during manual handling processes to prevent contamination or injury. Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to promote a safe working environment for all staff. Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly valued. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large pots, boxes of supplies, or dishware. Strong manual handling skills with attention to proper technique to prevent injury. Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks are a plus. Excellent organizational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
