Riviera Country Club in Coral Gables Florida is seeking Kitchen Stewards / Dishwashers for our new Clubhouse facility. The qualified individual should have a willingness to provide excellent service for our members and their guests. The applicant must be able to work a full-time flexible schedule which will include holidays and weekends, our busiest times!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times. Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
• Operate dish-washing and pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and Club standards. Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures.
• Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures. Ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy.
• Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers. Cleans and maintains floors and walls in the kitchen and dishwashing area by following standard procedures.
• Consistently adheres to SDS (Safety Data Sheet) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Food Handlers Certification.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team. Not required, but preferred:
• Prior experience in kitchen/housekeeping/maintenance, preferred.
• Prior experience in a country club, preferred.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF POSITION

(include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying approximately 30-50 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling.
