This position is responsible for keeping the dish area and kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently throughout service. In addition to dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning, this role will assist with basic food preparation tasks, with the opportunity to take on additional prep responsibilities as experience and skills develop. We are looking for someone who works with urgency, takes pride in keeping their area clean, and is willing to help wherever needed. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift. Sweep, mop, remove trash, and assist with maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness. Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation and prep tasks. Take on additional prep responsibilities as training and experience increase. Keep kitchen tools, equipment, and work areas organized. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Communicate any equipment, maintenance, or safety concerns to management. Work efficiently with the kitchen team during busy service periods. Assist with other back-of-house duties as needed. Requirements Restaurant or food-service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Reliable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Willingness to learn new kitchen and food-preparation skills. Able to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and carry items commonly required in a restaurant kitchen. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation is a plus.
