• Ward / Kakaako is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher to support daily restaurant kitchen operations.

The successful candidate will keep dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and sanitized while helping maintain an organized and efficient back-of-house environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, works well with others, and is comfortable performing physical duties in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen. Key Responsibilities Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and properly Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing station throughout each shift Sort and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment Assist kitchen staff by providing clean equipment and utensils as needed Remove trash and maintain proper waste-disposal procedures Sweep, mop, and clean designated kitchen and back-of-house areas Clean sinks, dish machines, counters, floors, and other assigned areas Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and kitchen items Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and food-preparation support when needed Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established procedures Report equipment problems, supply shortages, spills, or safety concerns to management Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen-cleaning duties Support cooks and other kitchen team members during busy service periods Perform additional duties assigned by kitchen management Requirements Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience preferred but not required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation Ability to follow instructions and established procedures Reliable attendance and punctuality Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Ability to work around water, heat, cleaning products, and kitchen equipment Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling options On-the-job training Employee meal or discount opportunities may be available Paid time off for eligible employees Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement About the Company Nori Bar Hawaii
