by Pono Potions is looking for a dependable and hardworking Part-Time PM Dishwasher to join our evening kitchen team. Located in Honolulu's Chinatown, PEWA is a locally owned restaurant and cocktail bar from the team behind Pono Potions. We're a busy, growing restaurant with a close-knit team, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and moving smoothly. The dishwasher is an important part of our kitchen team. During busy dinner service, we need someone who can work quickly, stay organized, and keep dishes, cookware, glassware, and equipment flowing without sacrificing cleanliness.

THE POSITION

This position is specifically for our PM/dinner team and is ideal for someone looking for consistent part-time evening work. Evening and weekend availability is required. Typical responsibilities include maintaining the dish station throughout dinner service, assisting with kitchen cleanliness, and helping the team complete closing duties at the end of the night.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment Keep clean dishes organized and returned to their proper locations Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish area throughout service Empty trash and recycling as needed Sweep, mop, and assist with general kitchen cleaning Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, floors, and work areas during closing Properly handle cleaning chemicals and follow sanitation procedures Help with light kitchen tasks or basic prep when needed and time allows Communicate with cooks and managers to keep the kitchen running smoothly Jump in and help the team during busy services — we all work together at

Dependable and punctual Hardworking with a strong sense of urgency Able to stay organized during busy dinner rushes Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Evening and weekend availability Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is helpful but not required Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
