Job Description
People's Waffle is a fast casual breakfast and brunch spot in the heart of downtown. We serve...you guessed it...waffles! Our kitchen is 100% gluten-free, but you wouldn't even know it. The team here is small, close, and they help each other out. In addition to dishes, this role also assists with prep and batter as requested by Chef. Job Summary This position needs to OWN the dishpit and also be able to switch gears with ease. People's Waffle crushes it and we need team members who can work fast but are also thorough and who take pride in the work they do. Ideal candidates must enjoy working in a busy restaurant environment and are capable of taking direction well, working independently, and multi-tasking effectively. Summary of Key Responsibilities Own the dish washing station, keeping up on dishes at all times during service Responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and assisting with closing tasks Rotate stock items as per established procedures Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts Mid-shift bathroom cleaning Various other cleaning tasks as designated by the Lead Prep and batter tasks as designated by the Lead Bus tables as requested by FOH Ensure that the dishpit is cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift Qualifications & Skills Experience dishwashing Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
