Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently to ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support kitchen staff with ingredient handling when needed. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas by following strict sanitation protocols. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station promptly. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to prevent contamination and uphold health regulations. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and bulk supplies safely and correctly. Operate kitchen equipment responsibly while adhering to health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly. Familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and kitchen health standards is a plus. Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning routines demonstrates readiness for this role. Knowledge of basic knife skills or food preparation techniques can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
