Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will support the culinary operation by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, preparing ingredients for cooking, and assisting with food handling tasks that ensure safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety protocols. Support the kitchen team by preparing basic menu items under supervision, ensuring timely meal service. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, and storage areas to promote a safe and sanitary environment. Follow food safety management practices, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep activities and ensure smooth kitchen operations. Experience Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued. Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus. Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments demonstrates your commitment to quality and safety. Basic culinary skills such as knife handling, slicing techniques, and meal preparation are advantageous. Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently supports your ability to contribute immediately. Strong communication skills help foster collaboration within the kitchen team. Prior catering or food industry experience can enhance your understanding of diverse food service settings.
