Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This energetic position ensures that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use, supporting the overall flow of food service operations. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients safely. Bypass dirty dishes from dining areas to the dishwashing station efficiently, ensuring timely bussing of tables and clearing of service areas. Follow strict sanitation standards to maintain kitchen health and safety protocols, including proper manual handling techniques to prevent injuries. Support the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to uphold sanitation standards and prevent cross-contamination. Handle heavy lifting of trays, boxes of supplies, or large pots safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and other tools responsibly while maintaining safety standards. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous. Experience with catering or banquet service can be beneficial for supporting large-scale events. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of basic culinary skills or kitchen operations is a plus but not mandatory.
