About Us:
Ember & Oak is a new chef-driven restaurant and event space opening at Katy Golf Club in Parsons, Kansas in Fall of 2026. We are building something genuinely special for SE Kansas a scratch kitchen rooted in local sourcing, real technique, and genuine hospitality in an upscale, casual setting.

We are looking for a dishwasher who understands that clean dishes are not a supporting role they are the foundation that every cook on the line depends on to do their job. A great dishwasher is one of the most valuable people in any kitchen, and we treat them that way.
Position Overview:
The dishwasher at Ember & Oak is responsible for keeping the kitchen running cleanly and efficiently throughout every service. This is a physical, fast-paced role that requires hustle, organization, and a team-first attitude.
Dishwasher Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate commercial dishwasher maintain proper sanitizer levels and cycle temperaturesWash, sanitize, and organize all dishes, pots, pans, hotel pans, and kitchen equipmentKeep the dish station clean, organized, and flowing throughout service no pileupsReturn clean dishes and equipment to proper locations promptly so the line never runs shortAssist with basic kitchen prep tasks as directed by the chefTake out trash, break down boxes, and maintain back-of-house cleanlinessSweep and mop kitchen floors at the end of serviceFollow all food safety and sanitation standardsCommunicate with the line when running low on specific plates, pans, or equipmentShow up on time, every shift the kitchen depends on youOther duties as assigned.

Dishwasher Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of Dishwasher, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Dishwasher Work Environment:
While performing the duties of Dishwasher, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work involves exposure to hot surfaces and sharp utensils. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required.
