This position is essential to keeping the kitchen running at a high level, ensuring our cooks have clean equipment, organized workspaces, and a safe environment to operate in. The ideal candidate is reliable, works with purpose, and takes pride in maintaining a spotless, efficient kitchen. This is a full-time, evening position only. No day time positions at this time. Wash and sanitize all dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment needed for service Keep the dish area clean, organized, and running efficiently throughout the shift Manage trash, recycling, and compost; break down boxes and maintain waste areas Support kitchen cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and nightly deep-clean duties Assist with receiving deliveries, storing products, rotating stock, and organizing dry and cold storage Help with basic prep or kitchen tasks as directed by the chef team Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate any needs or equipment issues Maintain safe food-handling and sanitation standards at all times Who You Are Dependable, punctual, and steady under pressure Comfortable working on your feet and staying active for the duration of your shift Able to lift up to 40 lbs and handle repetitive tasks with consistency Organized, efficient, and committed to keeping the kitchen running smoothly A team player with a positive attitude who contributes to a respectful, supportive environment Open to learning and growing into expanded roles in the kitchen Schedule & Benefits Full-time, five days per week Healthcare benefits available after probationary period Daily family meal provided 100% locally owned and operated About Mileta Mileta was named Best New Restaurant in Kentucky by The Local Palate and described by The Courier-Journal as "worth the drive from Louisville just for dinner."
