This position combines essential food service responsibilities with dishwashing and sanitation duties, ensuring that our dining areas and kitchen operate smoothly and hygienically. You will be an integral part of delivering high-quality meals tailored to meet dietary needs while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Duties Assist with meal preparation by setting up food stations and following dietary guidelines to meet specific nutritional requirements. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, other culinary tools, while following sanitation standards. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and food service equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation routines in compliance with health regulations such as JCAHO standards. Handle dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchenware efficiently using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Support the dietary department by organizing supplies, restocking items as needed, and adhering to food safety procedures. Follow workplace safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), manual handling techniques, and safe lifting practices to ensure a secure work environment for all staff. Skills Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or related healthcare environments is preferred but

Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy meal times. Excellent manual handling skills combined with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy items. Good customer service skills to interact courteously with residents and team members alike. Experience with sanitation standards including cleaning protocols and proper use of PPE to maintain a safe environment.
