Position Summary The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment while ensuring a safe and organized work environment. This position is essential to the success of our culinary team and supports both restaurant and banquet operations. Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Properly store all clean kitchen equipment and supplies. Keep dishwashing stations clean, organized, and stocked. Remove trash and recycling throughout each shift. Sweep and mop kitchen floors while maintaining a clean work environment. Clean kitchen equipment, shelving, mats, and work areas as assigned. Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries when needed. Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when requested. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Work collaboratively with cooks, chefs, servers, and banquet staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Perform opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties according to schedule. Qualifications Previous dishwasher or restaurant experience is helpful but not required—we are willing to train motivated individuals. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Team-oriented with good communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
