The Dishwasher keeps the kitchen supplied with clean dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and utensils, and maintains a clean, sanitary dish tank and dishwashing area throughout the shift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand and using the dish machine, following proper sanitation procedures. Sorts, stacks, and returns clean items to the correct storage areas in a timely manner. Monitors dish machine water temperature and chemical levels; reports malfunctions to the Sous Chef — Dish Tank. Keeps the dish tank, floors, and surrounding area clean, organized, and free of hazards during and after service. Removes trash and recycling as needed and keeps disposal areas clean. Assists with basic food prep or other kitchen tasks as directed. Follows all food safety and workplace safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Minimum Qualifications No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Reliable attendance and ability to follow instructions from kitchen management.
