Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards. Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes, glassware, and silverware to maintain a clean dining area. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup. Support the kitchen team by operating kitchen equipment safely and adhering to food safety management practices. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or trash disposal while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques. Maintain cleanliness of all food service areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly. Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with food handling procedures and basic cleaning practices is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique. Knowledge of sanitation practices related to dishwashing, food safety, and kitchen hygiene standards. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting restaurant operations. Basic understanding of operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning tools is a plus. Prior experience in restaurant environments helps but is not mandatory; training will be provided to ensure compliance with all food safety and health standards.
