Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety protocols. Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients for meal service according to menu specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation procedures. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other small appliances. Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs or equipment maintenance requirements. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep schedules and ensure timely service delivery. Requirements Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering services, or dietary departments is preferred but not required—training will be provided! Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments is highly desirable. Ability to handle food safely and follow recipe adherence during meal preparation. Strong knife skills and slicing techniques are a plus for assisting with ingredient prep. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy supplies or equipment. A proactive attitude towards cleaning routines and maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen environment.
