Dishwasher (Part-Time) The dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional service for daily dining and special banquet events. The responsibilities include washing and sanitizing all dishware, cookware, and utensils, while keeping workstations and kitchen areas clean and organized. During busy service and banquet events, they collaborate with the kitchen team to manage increased cleaning loads and maintain a seamless flow. By adhering to health and safety standards, help create a safe and hygienic environment that supports our commitment to quality and excellence.

Dishwashing Duties:
Thorough Cleaning and Sanitization:

Wash all dishes, utensils, glassware, cookware, and kitchen tools with precision to ensure they meet strict hygiene and safety standards. Regularly inspect items for cleanliness before returning them to use.

Efficient Equipment Use:

Operate the dishwashing machine and other cleaning equipment, ensuring proper settings for optimal cleaning and drying. Troubleshoot basic issues with the machine and escalate concerns when necessary. Manual Cleaning as

Needed:

Pre-soak heavily soiled items and scrub pots, pans, and other items that require manual attention due to grease or food residue buildup. Ensure these are sanitized and ready for use.

Kitchen Cleaning and Maintenance:
Workstation Hygiene:

Regularly clean and sanitize all workstations, cutting boards, countertops, and other surfaces in the kitchen to minimize cross-contamination and maintain food safety.

Waste Management:

Empty trash bins, compost containers, and recycling bins frequently to prevent overflow. Replace liners as needed and ensure waste is sorted properly.

Floor Maintenance:

Sweep and mop kitchen floors during and after shifts to maintain a clean and safe environment. Address spills promptly to prevent accidents.

Stocking Supplies:

Keep an inventory of cleaning agents, sanitizers, and dishwashing supplies. Notify management of low stock levels and restock supplies in designated areas.

Support During Service:
Timely Delivery of Clean Items:

Quickly return sanitized dishes, utensils, and cookware to their designated stations to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly, especially during peak service hours. Assist with

Kitchen Organization:

Help maintain a clutter-free and organized kitchen by arranging prep tools, food containers, and other items in an orderly manner.

On-the-Spot Cleaning:

Respond to urgent cleaning needs, such as wiping spills, washing newly soiled items, or addressing messes on kitchen surfaces during high-traffic periods.

Banquet Support:
High-Volume Dishwashing:

Manage the significant increase in dishwashing loads during banquets, including large serving trays, buffet setups, and specialty glassware. Prioritize efficiency while maintaining quality.

Event-Specific Collaboration:

Work closely with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure all serving ware is cleaned and ready for immediate reuse during banquets. Adapt to dynamic event needs and timelines.

Post-Event Cleanup:

Assist in restoring the kitchen to its original state after banquet services by washing, organizing, and returning all items to their proper storage locations.

Safety and Compliance:
Health and Safety Protocols:

Follow all health department regulations, including proper sanitization methods, handling of cleaning chemicals, and safe use of dishwashing equipment.

Chemical Handling:

Adhere to proper procedures for storing and using cleaning agents. Understand the use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and wear protective equipment when required.

Food Safety Awareness:

Actively contribute to maintaining food safety by ensuring that all dishware and utensils are free from contaminants, cracks, or chips that could compromise safety or quality.
