Job Description

Rustic, secluded, and peaceful, Dormie Club's 310 acres melt into the rolling hills. The only original Coore & Crenshaw design in North Carolina features a 241-yard reverse Redan par three and plays very fast. Definitely a bucket list course. The Dishwasher plays a critical support role within the kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and sanitary environment that allows the culinary and service teams to perform at the highest level.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As part of the Culinary team, your essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing machines or by hand. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Operate and clean dishwashing machines and related equipment. Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated storage areas. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. Sweep, scrub, and wash floors, work tables, walls, refrigerators, and kitchen surfaces. Stock supplies such as food items, utensils, and service materials in appropriate storage locations. Prepare and package individual place settings as directed. Clean and prepare basic food items in support of kitchen operations. Receive, store, and rotate food and supply deliveries as assigned. Clean garbage cans and waste areas using water or steam. Load and unload trucks delivering food or supplies when required. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Assist cooks with opening and closing duties using established checklists and standards. Adhere to all Dormie Network policies, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures. Work collaboratively with all employees to support an efficient and positive team environment.

Exhibits strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing dish flow and kitchen cleanliness. Manages time effectively and meets assigned deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Applies practical problem-solving skills to routine operational needs within the dish and kitchen area. Works independently within assigned responsibilities while remaining a dependable and collaborative team member. Demonstrates an understanding of safe food handling procedures and kitchen sanitation practices. Maintains a strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence. Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information. Performs effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure kitchen environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on Club operations and member needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Ability to bend, stretch, twist, and turn in kitchen and service areas. Ability to visually inspect kitchen areas, ingredients, and finished products for cleanliness and quality. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability to operate kitchen equipment and basic computer or point-of-sale systems as required.
