Job Overview:
The Dishwasher is responsible for washing dishes, putting them away, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, office spaces, and bathrooms, as well as performing general cleaning duties. This position supports food service operations and ensures a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment for all employees. High volume commissary kitchen environment.
What You'll Do:
Dishwashing & Kitchen Maintenance:
Wash all dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment used by kitchen staff, ensuring they are free of food particles and thoroughly sanitized
Put Away Dishes:
After dishes are washed and dried, ensure they are neatly stored in the correct locations, including cabinets, shelves, and drawers
Maintain Kitchen Floors:
Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness on kitchen floors to ensure a hygienic and safe cooking environment
Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness:
Clean kitchen surfaces, counters, sinks, and stoves regularly to ensure proper hygiene and prevent food contamination Empty kitchen trash bins and dispose of waste according to company procedures
Monitor Dishwashing Supplies & Equipment:
Ensure dishwashing detergent, cleaning supplies, and equipment are well-stocked and in good working condition Report any issues with dishwashing machines or other kitchen equipment to management May have light prep tasks assigned as needed with the commissary team Facilities Maintenance (Bathrooms & Office Spaces):
Clean Bathrooms:
Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors Restock supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, and soap as needed Ensure bathrooms are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness throughout the day
Clean Office Spaces:
Clean office areas, including desks, tables, chairs, and floors, to maintain a tidy and organized work environment Empty trash bins and replace trash liners in office spaces
General Cleaning Duties:
Sweep and mop hallways, corridors, and other shared spaces within the facility Ensure trash and recycling bins throughout the office and kitchen areas are emptied and disposed of correctly
Health & Safety Compliance:
Adhere to
Hygiene Standards:
Follow proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures for dishes, kitchen equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety standards Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required while handling cleaning chemicals or cleaning areas
Report Maintenance Issues:
Report any plumbing, cleaning equipment, or other facility issues to management for maintenance and repairs
Requirements What We Need From You:
Prior experience in dishwashing, janitorial, or similar roles is preferred but not required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness Strong attention to detail in all cleaning tasks, particularly washing and organizing dishes Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures Physical ability to lift, bend, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks Reliable transportation
Daily Working Conditions:
Physical tasks will involve lifting, standing, walking, bending, and carrying equipment. Must be able to lift 50lbs Work may require early morning, evening, or weekend hours depending on shift schedules Must adhere to all workplace health and safety standards, particularly regarding handling cleaning supplies and chemicals Sunday-Thursday 6:30AM-2:30PM schedule, subject to change
