Responsibilities Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support kitchen staff with bussing tables and clearing plates. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and boxes of supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques. Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, kitchen floors, work surfaces, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards. Support food handling and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with food safety management systems. Collaborate with team members to uphold kitchen health and safety standards during busy service hours. Qualifications Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation practices, and kitchen health standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely. Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are advantageous. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus but not mandatory.
