You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Your energetic approach will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, supporting chefs and food service staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards and prevent contamination. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup. Support bussing activities by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and boxes of supplies while adhering to proper lifting techniques. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning dish racks, sinks, floors, and work surfaces throughout the shift. Support kitchen staff with food handling practices that align with food safety management protocols. Skills Strong understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures within a food service environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitizing procedures to prevent cross-contamination. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Good manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items comfortably. Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued. Familiarity with basic knife skills and food preparation processes is a plus. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations. Pay:
