Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our vibrant kitchen team. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding food safety standards while supporting the overall flow of food service operations. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in hospitality and food service settings. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following proper food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including cleaning vegetables or organizing ingredients. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy and ready for guests. Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots or crates while following proper manual handling techniques. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste regularly. Follow all health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Qualifications Previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks comfortably. Basic understanding of kitchen health and safety standards. Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Willingness to learn about food handling, kitchen operations, and equipment use. Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not required.
