In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations. Your energetic approach and commitment to food safety will help create a positive dining experience for our guests. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on culinary experience, develop kitchen skills, and contribute to a vibrant food service environment. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety protocols Support the kitchen team in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and ovens Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen work area by adhering to sanitation procedures and safety standards in food handling and production Follow proper food safety management practices to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning support tasks and communicate effectively to meet service goals Skills Previous experience in a kitchen is preferred Background in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food industry standards Proficiency in food preparation techniques including slicing, knife skills, and recipe adherence Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Knowledge of safety standards in food production and handling practices Ability to communicate clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks effectively
