Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. If you have a love for cooking and the food industry, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring food items. Assist in cooking meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure quality food handling. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Experience Previous experience in food preparation or as a cook in a restaurant setting is preferred. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and menu planning is beneficial. Understanding of food handling practices within the food service industry. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
