Dishwasher Tamarisk Senior Living - 5.0 Warwick, RI Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Tamarisk Senior Living is an 83-resident assisted living and memory care community, part of Jewish Collaborative Services (JCS). We provide a warm, resident-centered home where dignity, safety, and quality of life come first — and our dietary team is essential to that mission every single day. The Role The Dishwasher keeps our kitchen running safely and efficiently by washing dishes, flatware, and cookware, maintaining sanitation standards required in an assisted living dietary setting, and supporting the kitchen team during meal service. Key Responsibilities Operate the commercial dishwasher and hand-wash items as needed, following proper wash, rinse, and sanitize procedures Maintain cleanliness of the dishroom, kitchen equipment, floors, and trash/recycling areas throughout each shift Follow all infection control and food safety practices required for a licensed assisted living dietary department Properly store clean dishware, utensils, and cookware; report equipment issues promptly Assist with unloading deliveries, basic food prep, and other kitchen support tasks as assigned Handle chemicals and cleaning supplies safely, per facility and OSHA guidelines Maintain a respectful, team-oriented approach consistent with a resident-centered care environment Schedule Full-time and part-time shifts available, including weekends and holidays as part of our meal service rotation. Qualifications Highschool diploma and GED required Prior dish room or kitchen experience helpful, but not required — we will train Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Comfortable working around hot water, steam, and commercial kitchen equipment Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Must meet Rhode Island assisted living employment requirements, including a criminal background check (BCI), pre-employment health screening/TB clearance, and completion of a food handler safety certification within the timeframe required by facility policy
