In this vital role, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are spotless and ready for use. Your proactive approach will support food safety standards, uphold sanitation protocols, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills while working in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup Support the bussing team by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dish station Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen work area, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and crates safely according to health and safety standards Adhere to kitchen health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure sanitation compliance Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices is advantageous Basic knife skills or experience with operating kitchen equipment is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards related to sanitation and food safety management Experience with catering or banquet settings is beneficial but not mandatory Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting a busy hospitality environment Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere where great food begins with great support!
