Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with food safety standards. Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely. Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients with proper food handling techniques. Support the front-of-house team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies while adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment in accordance with kitchen health and safety standards. Operate various kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including dishwashers, sinks, and prep stations. Contribute to a team-oriented environment by assisting colleagues during busy service periods or catering events. Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure the highest quality standards are met at all times. Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued. Familiarity with food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health standards is advantageous. Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning roles demonstrates reliability and understanding of sanitation protocols. Knowledge of basic culinary techniques or catering experience can be beneficial for supporting food prep tasks. Ability to handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential. Prior experience working in banquet or hotel environments can be an asset for adapting quickly in fast-paced settings.
