This role involves washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and café equipment while assisting the team with routine cleaning and support duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to cleanliness, and comfortable working in a busy coffee shop environment. Key Responsibilities Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glasses, utensils, cookware, and café equipment. Operate the commercial dishwasher and follow established cleaning procedures. Sort and organize clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Keep the dishwashing station clean, organized, and properly supplied. Clean sinks, counters, floors, and other assigned kitchen and service areas. Remove trash and follow appropriate waste-disposal procedures. Restock clean dishes, utensils, containers, and other café supplies. Assist baristas and café team members with routine cleaning and support duties. Help maintain a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during busy service periods. Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures. Handle cleaning equipment and supplies according to company guidelines. Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties as assigned. Communicate supply shortages or equipment concerns to a supervisor. Work cooperatively with café and kitchen team members. Qualifications Previous dishwasher, kitchen, café, restaurant, or food-service experience is helpful. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and organization. Comfortable working in a fast-paced coffee shop environment. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to learn food-safety and sanitation procedures. Able to perform routine dishwashing and cleaning duties throughout a shift. Good teamwork and communication skills.
