In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, supporting food preparation activities, and upholding the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Your proactive approach will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests while fostering a safe and organized workspace. Responsibilities Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items to support culinary staff. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste according to sanitation standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and ensuring dining areas are tidy for guests. Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and food prep tools. Follow all food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Handle heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or large quantities of dishes or ingredients. Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards to promote a secure working environment for all team members. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices in commercial kitchens. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy items safely. Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are advantageous. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail-oriented work ethic. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations. Prior experience in banquet or catering settings is a plus but not mandatory. Commitment to maintaining high standards of food handling, hygiene, and safety throughout all duties. Pay:
$13.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
