Standard Service - Dishwasher Job Description Who We Are Standard Service honors the tradition of a neighborhood restaurant built around fresh ingredients, genuine hospitality, and a sense of community. Our menu ranges from shareable starters and pizzas to familiar comfort favorites, paired with thoughtfully crafted cocktails, local beer, and wine. With an expansive patio, pickleball courts, and a family-friendly vibe, it's a place made for gathering.
Your Role:
We are looking for a motivated Dishwasher to join our team! You will contribute to an exceptional dining experience by transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and other service equipment, as well as maintaining clean work areas and restaurant equipment. You are great at managing multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. With special attention to the details, you care about performing quality work and overall contributing to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays and silverware
  • Segregate and remove trash and place it in the designated containers
  • Sweep and mop floors; wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and all other surface areas
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; restock tools and cleaning supplies for the next shift
  • Maintain a clean and organized dish area
  • Help line cooks properly prep, store, and date food
  • Perform simple prep tasks such as peeling shrimp and potatoes
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Food Handler's license and TABC Certification required
Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often the majority of a shift.
  • Frequently required to lift and carry up to 25-30 lbs (e.g., cases of product, small equipment).
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with assistance.
  • Comfortable bending, reaching, and working in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
  • Ability to move quickly and safely through crowded spaces and in close proximity to hot surfaces, sharp objects, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in varying temperatures.
  • Maintain visual and auditory awareness to ensure safety, quality, and service standards are met at all times.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 150 lbs with the help of equipment like a dolly.
  • Occasionally required to speak in front of large groups, including team members and guests.
  • May be required to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays, and adjust to occasional schedule changes based on business needs.
