Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and safely. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the overall flow of food service operations. Your dedication ensures that our kitchen meets the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and efficiency, contributing directly to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties Thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items according to safety standards Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, sinks, and food prep tools Follow food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling of ingredients and adherence to sanitation standards Heavy lifting of supplies and equipment as needed to support kitchen operations Maintain overall sanitation of the kitchen environment by adhering to health and safety standards and cleaning schedules Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting Basic knife skills and knowledge of food handling techniques are advantageous Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates a strong understanding of sanitation standards Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards ensures a safe working environment for all team members Prior catering or banquet experience is a plus but not essential; enthusiasm for hospitality work is key Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where great food begins!
