Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff Bypass or manually handle heavy items such as large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas throughout your shift Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing area Adhere strictly to kitchen health and safety standards, including proper handling of food and cleaning chemicals Skills Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a restaurant or catering environment Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools safely and effectively Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving bulky items Experience with food handling, food safety procedures, and maintaining hygiene standards Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards specific to hospitality settings Basic knife skills can be beneficial for assisting with light food prep tasks Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where great food begins!
