Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use, supporting our chefs and food service staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills while contributing to a vibrant food service operation. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with food preparation tasks such as ingredient handling and basic assembly to support kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices aligned with sanitation standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming for guests. Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of large pots, boxes of supplies, and cleaning equipment safely following proper manual handling techniques. Follow food safety management protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations and kitchen health and safety standards. Operate kitchen equipment carefully and responsibly, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances necessary for daily operations. Qualifications Knowledge of food safety procedures and sanitation practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Basic knife skills or familiarity with food handling techniques is a plus. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen staff and maintaining a clean environment. Prior catering or food preparation experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Pay:
