You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet food safety standards. Your energetic approach will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, supporting food preparation and service with a focus on sanitation and safety. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items are hygienic and meet health regulations. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing station promptly. Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, sinks, and surrounding kitchen spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation. Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots or crates safely according to kitchen health and safety standards. Assist in maintaining overall sanitation standards within the kitchen by adhering to proper cleaning protocols for all surfaces and equipment. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation practices is advantageous. Basic knife skills or experience with operating kitchen equipment can be beneficial but are not mandatory. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety management principles helps ensure compliance with health regulations.
