Job Description
Position Summary The Carnation Farms Culinary Team is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Support team member to help keep our kitchen running smoothly during regular production and special events. Kitchen experience is not required—we can teach you what you need to know. What matters most to us is finding someone who shows up, works hard, takes pride in doing a job well, and is willing to jump in and help the team wherever needed. Dishwashing and kitchen support are essential to a successful kitchen. This is an active, hands-on role responsible for keeping dishes, cookware, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and ready so our cooks and chefs can keep moving. Schedule This is a part-time position guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week , but the specific days, shift lengths, and total hours worked may vary based on the needs of our Culinary Team. Scheduled events are the highest priority for this position. Carnation Farms hosts Farm-to-Table dinners, weddings, community events, classes, workshops, private events, and other special gatherings throughout the year. Many of these dates are established well in advance, and this position is expected to be available to support these events. Outside of scheduled events, hours will be assigned based on kitchen production and other business needs. This means the weekly schedule will not always look the same. Some weeks may include shorter shifts across several days, while others may consist of fewer, longer shifts. The 20-hour weekly guarantee is a minimum, not a cap on hours. Depending on the timing of events and other business needs, event hours may be part of the employee's 20 hours in some weeks and may be scheduled in addition to those hours in others. Candidates should therefore expect to work at least 20 hours each week, with the understanding that some weeks will require additional hours. Schedules will be communicated as far in advance as possible, with known event dates communicated well ahead of time. 2026 Event Availability Event coverage is a core responsibility of this position. Many of our remaining 2026 event dates are already known and are listed below so candidates can get a clear picture of the schedule before applying. Not every event will necessarily require the same level or duration of support, and additional events may be added as business needs evolve. Applicants should review these dates carefully and be prepared to discuss any known scheduling conflicts during the application and interview process. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
