Job Description
Overview Job Summary:
The Golf Shop Attendant will assist in all areas of the golf shop, including but not limited to: Tee time reservations, lesson scheduling, point of sale transcations, merchandise displays and organization. This is a 3-4 Days per week position with 20-28 Hours.Experience Required Qualifications:
The candidate will have a thorough knowledge of retail sales & how to create an attractive Golf Shop. Assist the Golf Shop Merchandiser with monthly and year-end inventory checks and balances through POS computer. Knowledge of Jonas & ForeTees programs preferred. Dress appropriately for the position; professional manner Detail oriented & able to prioritize workload and multitask. Use time effectively; complete work in a timely manner. Possess effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information. Essential Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to: Provide members/guests with superior service in all aspects of the golf operation. Assist the golf professional staff with preparation of weekly and major golf events, process tee times, and schedule lessons. Provide members, renters, and guests with information on a variety of subjects including tee time information, tournament information, and special orders. Coordinate with starters/rangers to ensure accurate accounting of member and guest fees and end of day player counts. Assist merchandise managers with monthly and year-end inventory checks and balances through POS computer. Inform merchandiser of staple items that need to be re-stocked. Assist merchandise manager with bringing new products into the golf shop (hang, fold, steam, price, and display.) Assist in advertising sales and promotions. Assist merchandise manager with trunk shows and shoe fitting days. Help maintain and clean the golf shop, fitting rooms, and golf shop storage room. Assist with the locker room when needed.
